What's a good sound amplifier?
I'm about to take driver's training, and I'm half deaf in my right ear. Due to the fact that the nerves in that ear never fully developed, hearing aids will never work for me. I need a sound amplifier that has a microphone on my right side that has an ear-bud leading to my left ear, just so I can hear the instructor clearly. I've used things like this before that just have a lot of fuzzy background noise and are VERY sensitive. Is there anything that works better?
Visit an audiologist who can recommend a CROS system to you. These sophisticated systems route sound from poor ear to the better ear wirelessly. This reduced the need to have a wire looping around your neck.
